Hello

My name is Ali Johnson, and I am the owner of Santa Barbara Lymphatics. I am a CAMTC-certified massage therapist and California-recognized health care provider, passionate about helping people care for their bodies and become their own health advocates. While I support traditional medical approaches, I take a holistic view of health — one that honors the body as an integrated physical, neurological, and energetic system.

My work supports the body on multiple levels. On a physical level, manual lymphatic drainage gently encourages circulation, reduces inflammation, and supports detoxification and healing. I am certified in post-operative lymphatic care using the Vodder technique and regularly work with clients recovering from cosmetic and medically indicated surgeries, helping to reduce swelling, support tissue healing, and promote smoother, more comfortable recovery.

On a deeper level, light-touch techniques and craniosacral-informed energy work help calm the nervous system, creating the conditions for regulation, rest, and repair.

Many clients describe subtle waves of energy moving through their bodies during a session, or a noticeable shift in internal rhythm or vibration. It is common to feel deeply relaxed — sometimes even a little floaty or disoriented — as the body integrates these changes. I always encourage a few moments of grounding before clients leave, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to orient into its new balance.

I am a CAMTC-certified massage therapist trained in manual lymphatic drainage and post-operative lymphatic care, and I hold additional certifications in health and fitness. I am a lifelong student and am currently continuing my studies in craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Institute. I am also a certified meditation facilitator, and this influence is woven quietly and intentionally into my work.

My practice is health-oriented, collaborative, and offered within the legal scope of massage therapy and bodywork in California. I work with clients seeking post-surgical support, nervous system regulation, and long-term wellness, and who value thoughtful, professional care during vulnerable periods of healing.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people heal and feel their best through compassionate, intuitive care. We support the body’s natural ability to restore balance with skilled touch and integrated education.

"I happily recommend Ali for a relaxing experience. Before having our session I was having trouble with my lower back since having my son and I walked out of my massage without the pinch I'm so used to. She took the time to listen to my problem areas and areas of focus and really knew the target areas as a mother herself. I really enjoyed the mindfulness and intention that she showed during our appointment and would love to incorporate more body work from Ali in the future. I couldn't recommend her enough".
